Forza Horizon 6 — FH6 is Steam Deck Verified at launch — best settings
The Forza Horizon 6 Steam Deck verdict is in: Verified status confirmed at launch, with Playground publishing a recommended preset that targets a stable 30fps at native 1280×800. Premium Edition early-access players (May 15+) get to test these settings four days before the wider rollout.
What changed / What’s new
Verified status means input mapping, text legibility, and base performance are all certified by Valve out of the box. The launch-day official recommendation:
- Resolution: 1280×800 (native).
- Frame cap: 30fps via Steam Deck system cap.
- Car Detail: Medium.
- Anti-aliasing: TAA + 0.6 sharpness.
- Other settings: defaults are fine; texture quality can stay high thanks to the Deck’s unified memory.
These keep the game in the 5–7W GPU range and battery life around the expected 90 minutes window for a Deck OLED.
Why it matters
A Verified rating at launch is rare for a game this large — FH5 launched as Playable, not Verified, and only reached Verified after several patches. For Deck-primary players, this means FH6 is a buy-and-play title on day one with no required tweaks.
